The views stretch to the Welsh Mountains but also take in the Borough of Monmouth and the surrounding countryside. The stone viaduct that used to carry the Wye Valley Railway takes pride of place in the foreground of the view towards Monmouth. The height is gained in the first half of the walk, but the views are always there.
