Baga – Via del Niclau Circular

This hike follows part of the recently restored timber rail line. The way has been expensively restored between Guardiola de Bergueda and the Eco-museum just up from the bridge over the Bastareny River at Pont de San Joan. However, we will begin at Baga and follow the route in a northerly direction. We shall pass through tunnels and cross a suspension bridge as we wend our way high above the river, enjoying some gorgeous views as we pass in and out of woods. Later we shall join a tarmac lane and go briefly left up it to reach the Eco Museum building (see additional notes). From here we will descend and cross the river at Pont de San Joan before gently rambling along the quiet tarmac lane that will bring us to the Cadi-Moixero Park Information Office and through the old part of Baga back to the start.
