This is a pleasant walk along Silverdale Glen, beside the river, with a return through open farmland on tracks, paths and lanes.
There is some walking along country lanes and a stretch of about 1km along the main road, but on pavement all the way.
There is a good cafe by the mill pond in Silverdale. The walk could be combined with a visit to Rushen Abbey, with its exhibition and gardens.
