The walk starts by visiting the Panorama viewpoint, giving extensive views over the Mawddach Estuary before descending to the settlement of Cutiau. From here the route ascends, crossing Panorama Road further along its length and heads up into the hills. It passes through the ridge via Bwlch-y-Llan and more sea views open up. The return section gradually descends along the seaward side of the ridge, accompanied by the views.

Some sections of the route are marked as cycle routes on the OS Explorer map.
Note to dog owners: there are no stiles on this walk but the possibility of sheep on the hills.

Walked 21.08.2018 - What can we say, an absolutely stunning walk around Barmouth and the Estuary. Directions and photographs were all spot on and this was an amazing walk. One point, it should be regraded as a Moderate walk given the height gain, it's certainly not easy! That said the views are amazing. We caught sight of a helicopter flying across the estuary just below the top of the viewpoint which was incredible to see from that angle. Pick a good day and you'll have a great day out!
