The north of Sutherland is a land of contrasts, from the Flow Country in the east of the county, along the coastal cliffs and to the hills and mountains, including Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.
Ben Stumanadh is a sizeable hill to the east of Loch Loyal; it enjoys fantastic views across Sutherland, particularly of Ben Loyal, which is a majestic mountain.
Although quite short, the walk will require good footwear as the ground has a tendency to be boggy and as always in the mountains, navigation skills will be required along with good outdoor clothing.
