Beverston - Chavenage House - Longtree Bottom - Ledgemore Bottom - Beverston

Beverston is a small village with a castle (Beverston Castle) which opens its garden to the public on occasion. The walk also takes in Chavenage House, also open to the public. Apart from that you walk along lanes and paths and woods in typically pleasant Cotswold-edge countryside.

It is rather easy to get on the wrong track between waypoints 10 & 11 as the instructions merely state ‘Follow the route through a number of fields…’ . I took this to mean follow the footpath signage which is not the case. An amendment in the text of waypoint 11 might be helpful: 'Shortly, a yellow footpath marker indicates a right hand turn through a metal gate, ignore this and continue straight on, keeping the trees on your right hand side, through a number of fields…'
