Bibury is a charming Cotswold village just a short drive along country roads from 'The Capital of the Cotswolds', Cirencester in Gloucestershire. William Morris (1834-96) described Bibury as 'the most beautiful village in England'. Fox News says that Bibury is one of the world's most picturesque villages. There's no doubt that Bibury is featured on many lists of most beautiful Cotswold villages and is worth a mooch around. There are a variety of cafe's and pubs, including a smart hotel in the village for refreshments. There are no other food/beverage opportunities elsewhere on the walk.

This route takes you to parts of the village the average coach tourist doesn't see and beyond to beautiful Cotswold Countryside. The hamlet of Winson is a particular delight with its Norman Church, Grade 2 listed Manor, honey-coloured cottages and a bridleway which welcomes trespassers (as long as you close the gate).

This walk goes through typical Cotswolds scenery, including open fields with excellent views, estate land, dense tranquil woodland, attractive valleys and villages.
