Binfield - Billingbear - Marchfield House - Angel Farm - Binfield

This walks starts at Binfield, easily reached from the M4 junction near Wokingham. It gives a flavour of the many walks that can be found in this part of Berkshire. All the way on footpaths, bridleways or quiet roads, you'll pass a couple of fine country houses but much is through or past deserted fields. Only planes coming or going to Heathrow are likely to spoil the peace and quiet from time to time. Much of this walk coincides with the Binfield Bridle Circuit (sounds like where the local newly-weds parade, perhaps?)

Very much does what it says on the tin. A short, simple to follow walk. Nothing taxing about it at all and yet it does get you out into the countryside for an hour. It is a bit muddy and slippery along one stretch. As I hadn't walked more than 10m without being accompanied by a shopping trolley for the past 6 months, this was an ideal start to my freedom from lock down.

06/01/19 First walk my grandson of four months went on with us carried in a papoose thingy by his Dad! It was a v cold day and this was just the right length. Lots of nice houses to be envious over on this well directed walk. You now have to pay to park unless it's a Sunday
