This walk is for nature lovers as the Forest of Dean is rich in plant and bird life at all times of the year. There are also deer resident here. The walk visits the lower of Soudley ponds twice at WP09. There is limited parking here and by starting here the walk may be split into 2 shorter walks. Bluebell time is heaven here as the woodland is a blue carpet, but the view from Blaize Bailey is worth an hour at any time.

Did this lovely walk on a fine January day. Great walk, great views and good clear directions. Worth noting that you can get a nice cuppa and a sit down, or even lunch, from the Dean Heritage Centre cafe, which is very near WP 09
