The route climbs up through trees and then gradually rises to the ridge, passing two cairns before arriving at Rhos Dirion trig point. The views reach up to mid-Wales. Return is a gradual descent down Gwryne Valley, past the reservoir and dam, to follow the stream with its multitude of birds.

Fabulous walk on a lovely day. Slight climb to begin and then a lovely ridge walk followed by a gradual descent past the reservoir. Never seem to locate the anvil. Someone needs to put a sign there! 9 miles but relatively easy. Will do again.
