Bocairent - Alfafara Circular

Beginning on the main road on the outskirts of historic Bocairent, we head south through olive and almond groves, soon starting to climb. Enjoying some stunning views, we soon reach the CV794 road and follow the GR7 Way along it briefly. Next we head off to visit the charming hermitage of Santa Barbera before continuing to follow the GR7 as it meanders eastwards through pine forests. Later we branch away from the GR route and take a lesser route that will bring us to the start of our descent. We now face two kilometres of very steep and often quite tricky descent that needs care. Eventually we arrive at Alfafara and branch off at the little hermitage to begin a delightful ramble along very quiet country lanes, undulating our way through timeless olive and almond groves to return to Bocairent, that must be visited and that offers many excellent hostelries.
