Borth-y-Gest - Black Rock Beach - Morfa Bychan - Borth-y-Gest

This coastal route starts in the pretty village of Borth-y-Gest and explores some of the beautiful beaches and coves, before dropping onto the wide beach at Black Rock. Although the beach is almost a mile long, the route leaves the beach about halfway to continue along the edge of Morfa Bychan Village. The walk then leads through a scenic caravan park and the opportunity for some stunning views, before heading back downhill to Borth-y-Gest Village.

Please note that parts of this walk are tidal, so please check tide status before starting and do not continue if it is unsafe to do so.

This was a lovely walk on a sunny Good Friday. The pub mentioned is now the Black Rock beach club, which was worth stopping off at. We started from Porthmadog, which was an easy addition just around the headland. Stunning views on the way back and beautiful beaches. There is also no hut or sign as you come off black rock beach but its the first main exit and easy to find.

Great walk, we really enjoyed it, thank you. Lovely mix of wide open beach, woods and little villages.
