Bradford-on-Avon - Trowbridge - Holt - Woolley Green - Bradford-on-Avon

From the station at the pretty market town of Bradford-on-Avon, head for the towpath by the canal. Follow this out of the town, all the way to Trowbridge, enjoying the wildlife en route.

You then have a slightly dull stretch through Staverton, before turning for the village of Holt, which includes The Courts National Trust garden. From here, cross fields to a stretch on a quiet road, then more fields to reach the hamlet of Woolley Grange. A lane from here returns you to Bradford-on-Avon.

I made the same navigation error as Bob Higgins. The way to avoid this is to read the instruction at waypoint 8 slightly differently - instead of 'You turn right just beyond' read it as 'You turn right along the road just beyond'. This avoids the confusion with the signposted footpath at the junction.

Ok walk but with some navigation challenges. At 10 I found a stile as expected but arrived in village at exit point. The fields between 16 and 18 were shoulder high in wheat its was like a jungle and no field edges clear so take care in July! Views from 18 were great.
