The choice of Brampton Station as the starting point means that walkers can leave their cars at home and enjoy the countryside at leisure. Agriculture features strongly as a farm with willow plantations is crossed. The long section after the isolated Westhall Church is wonderful, especially in the spring, with fields of yellow oilseed rape in flower. Take your time on the walk and linger at North Green Stoven Common, it is lovely.
