A classic seascape walk with lots of boats, birds, beaches and beautiful cottages.

This is the most varied section of the north Norfolk Coast Path, with wild saltings, huge beaches and charming villages.

It is much better done as a linear walk. There's a regular Coastliner bus service (check times before you go!) which will take you back to the walk start. You can have a drink or a bite to eat while you wait.

A great way to explore this coastline. Some observations we made (March 2024): The path from waypoint 2 to 3 was officially closed due to large repairs to the boardwalk, but it seemed to be almost complete and we had no problem. Waypoints 3, 4 and 5 didn't make much sense but we found our way through the boatyard, following signs for Norfolk Coast Path whenever we saw them. No public toilets along route. The section from waypoint 6 to 7 is very exposed to any North Sea wind! On reflection we would have preferred doing the walk backwards so that cold March wind would have been on our backs! The Coastliner bus service back to the start was great.
