Brecon is not the most picturesque of towns but the walk up to the hill fort and back to Brecon is really pleasant. Took about 2 Hours in total and the Hill Fort is spectacular with fantastic views of the Beacons. There is a lot of livestock in the fields on the way up and with ponies at the fort so not good for dogs unless on lead all the way.
