Brown's Folly is a nature reserve. The underlying rock is limestone, millions of years old. It was mined since Roman times and is still riddled with caves and underground workings. There are plenty of wildflowers and butterflies in the open ground. Dundas Aqueduct is an interesting area, the canal is carried over the river and later descends via locks to the river as it travels towards Bath.
