The walk starts at the Malt Shovel Pub, Bubbenhall. We cross the A445 and head via a quarry to Bubbenhall Wood. We then head via fields to Wappenbury, skirting Wappenbury Wood. Wappenbury is located on the River Leam and is almost entirely inside the ramparts of an Iron Age hill fort. From here we turn back to the woods and continue through Burnthurst Coppice. The walk enters Ryton Pools Country park where you'll find a visitors centre if you wish to divert for a while.
From the country park we head back to the walk start.

19/08/2013 Enjoyed this walk today - very good instructions, many thanks! Varied scenery, mostly dog-friendly apart from a couple of sheep fields.
