This walk starts at the historic market town of Buckingham. The town museum is located in the town's former gaol and is well worth a visit.

The walk then takes us past the impressive house and grounds of Foscote Manor, a private house built in 1639.

The next part of the walk takes us between the Great River Ouse and the Buckingham Canal. This canal was an arm of the Grand Union Canal and was active between 1801 and 1900. Some stretches are no longer visible as they have been reclaimed for farming.

Finally, the walk takes us through the town's largest park, Bourton Park.
