From the car park our way takes us past the striking Bures Mill and then across country to reach charming Mount Bures. We have the opportunity to visit the Mount Bures Church and Motte (see additional information) before continuing through rich countryside to reach The Thatchers Arms pub. From here we will enjoy a peaceful country ramble to bring us to Wormingford Airfield (see additional info') where we can pause a while to watch the comings and goings of the local gliding club. Next, we reach the lovely old church at Wormingford - with the option of The Crown pub beforehand – and from there have a gorgeous wood and open country stretch taking us up to the top of Lodge Hills and offering amazing views. Our final stage is along the Stour Valley Way, which brings us straight back to Bures Mill, from where we retrace our outward steps to the start.
