A station to station walk starting at Bures and finishing up at Marks Tey. This really is a quiet peaceful walk with traffic free country lanes and there really are some lovely views as you pass through the undulating Essex countryside. En route you will also pass through three farms and with a 100 yard detour, you can visit The Thatchers Arms pub in Mount Bures.
All paths were clear, and most were signposted (Oct 2022) with just two paths through ploughed fields where the farmer hasn't maintained the paths. You have an option of shortening the walk and terminating it at Chappel and Wakes Colne station, which is also on the Gainsborough Line.
