I always get a bit bored on beach holidays, so try and do at least one walk to break things up. This walk is one that surpassed our expectations. It is just a touch over six miles long, with a height gain of only 200m. But what a view when you reach the top!

The walk beginss at the tourist information in the seaside resort of Cala Millor. We start with about a mile of street-walking to get to the foot of the hill; this gives you good views of the hill and gives you an idea of the heat to expect. We leave the main road to take an access track to the car park for the accommodation 'Bella Vista', where we join the track proper. From here it is a case of following the single footpath as it winds its way up to the summit.

After resting at the summit, we slowly descend following the line of the crag and into a much greener Puig de sa Bassa, before returning along a mile of dusty track, passing private properties and 'stables'. All along this track we are offered views to the left of the impressive hill we have just climbed.
