Beginning in the lovely little resort of Cala San Vicent, we climb north to reach a rocky footpath that will lead us through woods to reach the bed of a torrent or mountain stream. From here we make our way a short distance further to arrive at the delightfully secluded Cala Aguas Dulces, where it is hard to resist the temptation to descend the steep path and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. Returning to the torrent, we make our way up the dry bed before facing a strenuous and tricky climb out of the valley. Later, passing through open, timeless farming country, we reach the way which will lead us down to Es Culleram or Tanit Caves. After exploration we make our way steeply down the southern face of the Serra des Port before wending our way back to Cala San Vicent along the picturesque valley bottom.

This is a wonderful walk. It's a good idea to start early from Cala San Vincent as parking can be difficult during the season. The climb down to Cala Aguas Dulces is definitely a scramble and not for the faint-hearted but well worth it for the peace and beauty. The directions are excellent. We would agree that the climb from the beach and then to waypoint 14 is strenuous.

We checked this one on 6 November 2018. The entrance to the car park was deeply flooded. Some parts of the footpath are severely rain damaged and need care. I have replaced four pictures and sharpened the text where necessary. The walk is an absolute beauty and is highly recommended. Jim Arymar
