This is a walk of two halves, a gentle stroll along the river to Callander then round to Callandrade Forest, where the path rises out onto open country with great long views towards the distant hills. When you cross the A821 at Milton you will see Samson's Stone high up on the hill on your left (quite spectacular). This is a wonderful path to finish the walk back to Bochastle car park.
