A pleasant walk in some of the varied countryside around the market town of Camelford. Start along the riverbank for a kilometre before a short stretch on the road takes us to a long circle through the countryside and country lanes. We visit the ancient 'Long Stone' and see views of the moor before rejoining our starting point in Camelford.

A most enjoyable walk, beginning with the first mile or so next to the River Camel which on a spring like October day was glorious! Plenty of interest all the way, with the changing scenery. A couple of gradual climbs but lovely views as a reward. A few too many stone and wooden stiles for the wife, but great for me! Guide details fine, although some 'bear left and rights' are round the wrong way? and a 'few hundred metres' are in fact a couple of metres? As long as you have the map, no problem.
