This is an interesting walk using the Angles Way route, which is mostly beside the River Waveney, then inland along tracks and very quiet country lanes. It passes by three special reserves, Carlton Marshes, Castle Marsh and Sprat's Water, see 'additional information'.

At the car park there is a Suffolk Wildlife Reserve 'shop'. Halfway round is the Swan Inn, which won the Publican Pub Food award in 'Best Seafood' category for pubs in Britain and hopes to do so again in 2005. There is an excellent menu here and a choice of real ales served.

Walk was fine until point 8 when we were confused by a plank bridge. Failed to cross as it was not mentioned and all others had been hence we ended up having to walk through the housing estate! Not as scenic as we might have liked!
