This is a circular walk between the two picturesque villages of Castleton and Commondale on the North York Moors. Following tracks and minor roads, the walk is suitable for all-terrain pushchairs. A shorter route is also possible. Another alternative is to make this a linear walk and return to Castleton via the train; this would make it an ideal walk for families with young children. The walk can also be extended by referring to Walk 4255.

Did this walk on a nice day in May, very straight forward to follow, a lot of road walking involved on quiet roads, slightly hilly, lovely unspoiled scenery, & a pub at the end, would do this walk again.
