This is an easy to follow, flat circular walk of about seven and a half miles.
We start at the canalside - Boat Inn at Catherine-de-Barnes in Solihull, immediately joining the canal, which we walk for 2.4km.
We leave it to walk through farmland, then a golf course and more fields before walking a particularly pleasant stretch of woodland alongside the River Blythe.
Eventually we arrive at a local park and nature reserve where you will find a cafe for refreshments and toilets.
Leaving, we return to the canal via more fields and a second wood - all amazingly within a mile or two of Solihull town centre.
