Cavendish is a beautiful village not far from Clare and Long Melford on the Suffolk border. The walk completes a full circuit of the village and surrounding countryside and starts off by the lovely church near the main road. The route follows public footpaths down to Cavendish Mill, where a footbridge crosses the River Stour. From here a public footpath heads across to Pentlow Mill and crosses the Stour again to join a footpath that heads north from the village. A short section of road-walking followed by a public footpath then takes you back to Cavendish.
