A beautiful walk starting in the village of Cavendish in Suffolk. The route takes you through a few charming villages via farmland, quiet country lanes and passing through two churchyards and a farm. Even though this walk starts in Suffolk, you pass through parts of Essex too. There are a couple of steep climbs, but it's worth the effort for the amazing views. Near the end there is a lovely short stretch beside the River Stour through a meadow (part of a disused railway line) with the spectacular Pentlow Mill on the far side. All paths are clear when this walk was written up (April 2022).

This walk is a beauty. We did it in early March but will definitely do it again in the summer. We swerved the 'huge field' at WP15 as it had just been ploughed. Instead we took footpaths south from the excellent nature reserve and rejoined at WP18. I also think next time at WP29 we'll take Hoe Lane, thereby bypassing the dump at School Barn Farm which is a real eyesore. These small points aside, it is a lovely route. Thanks.
