Clough House - Three Shires Head - Wildboarclough - Clough House
Located within the North Staffordshire area of the Peak District around the small village of Wildboarclough, this fairly easy walk will suit all the family. It goes from the Clough Brook Valley via Axe Edge Moor to Three Shires Head, where the boundary between the counties of Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire meet. This is the ideal place to stop for lunch and cool your feet in the gently flowing river. Continuing back over Axe Edge Moor to the village of Wildboarclough, the choice is yours to follow the valley back to the start or to divert to the summit of Shutlingsloe for extensive views across five counties. This area of Staffordshire is very quiet and well worth exploring.
