This whole area is one large nature reserve. As you drive along on the minor road from Stanton towards 5-Ways, look for the boggy ground on either side of the road. This boggy ground is yellow with marsh-marigolds in spring and other water-loving plants and birds all the year round. Twyn y Gaer is one of the prime viewpoints in the Black Mountains.
