Starting in the quiet town of Coggeshall in Essex, this circular route is mainly through fields and along quiet country lanes. You also follow a lengthy stretch along The Essex Way. There are some good views along the route, a chance to visit a couple of churches and a choice of two pubs to visit, The Chequers in Great Tey (waymark 19) and The Woolpack in Coggeshall (waymark 35).

Most of the paths are clear and signposted but can get quite muddy in the winter months.

The nearest train station is Marks Tey but it's at least a mile from waymark 15 just in case you are wanting to travel to this walk by public transport.
