A delightful walk for all seasons, in the extensive beechwoods on the high ground north-west of Reading, visiting the woodland hamlet of Nuney Green and other small rural communities.

We did this Nice short walk on a sunny April day, unfortunatly The King Charles Head pub was boarded up "Until further notice" If you do this walk don't forget to take a compass as some of the paths in woods can be disorientating.

Nice relaxing walk if you don't want anything too taxing. I did find the directions a little unclear at times, but as I didn't get lost, they can't have been all that bad. The gravel car park mentioned in step 13 is now a tarmac one.
