This walk follows a section of the West Highland Way - probably the best section in the area for views. The route starts by the visitor centre in Balmaha and climbs fairly steeply to the top of Conic Hill, which affords great views over Loch Lomond and north to the first hills of the Highlands.

4 out of 5 of our family, Mum, Dad, Ruth (15), Mikey (10) (Alice (13) wasnt there) went on this walk on a beautiful sunny day in August 2006. Mikey found it hard going, but he made it with a bit of coaxing! and boy was it worth it! for the amazing views over Loch Lomond! We met a lovely family from the Lake District who were also able to make it to the summit - so get your kids out there! Paul Quinn February 2007
