It is an easy walk at first, mainly on footpaths. Once you leave the paved paths the ground becomes very broken and requires care where you place your feet. There are plenty of small birds, rabbits and lizards to be found. If the weather has been wet for a couple of days, you may experience the wonderful sight of multi-coloured flowers and cacti in blossom. A reasonably hard scramble gets you to the summit, where you can view the island coast-to-coast on a clear day. It is then downhill all the way back to the beach to soak those feet. There are cafes at the start and finish of the walk but the middle section is rather sparse for supplies. If you reach the volcano base and do not fancy the climb bit, you can just continue and finish the route as a pleasant stroll.

We did this walk 24/4/12 and enjoyed it. A little boring in places, but Mt Tahiche offers great views. As advised on the notes, very, very windy. As a comment for the contributor, there appears to be an error in the printed grid refs from about WP11 onwards. WP13 is the same as WP8 for example.
