Coughton - Wye Valley Walk - Weston under Penyard - Howle Hill - Coughton

This walk follows the Wye Valley Walk onto Chase Hill then turns off, following paths and tracks through woods and across fields above Penyard Park with occasional views across the upper Wye Valley. The Weston Cross provides a lunchtime watering-hole. The woods are broadleaved, mostly oaks and chestnuts and you may well see deer. This walk is designed to link with 3089 to make a 12.5 mile walk from Kerne Bridge to Weston under Penyard and return.

I did this walk, linked with 3089 to make a 13 mile loop, on 23/5/09 and it's a gem. Lovely varied scenery, fabulous views and lots of birds and wildlife. Very much recommended.
