The walk rapidly takes you from the busy A49 at Cuddington into peaceful Cheshire countryside. There's no shortage of wildflowers, birds and animals for those with sharp eyes. There are wide vistas across the valley of the River Weaver towards the Pennines. Later, on the edges of the forest, you are almost certain to hear and see buzzards before entering Delamere Forest through a plantation of beautiful beech trees. The route skirts Blakemere, where water birds are usually plentiful and then passes the 'Go Ape' experience where you can watch from the ground as the participants move round in the trees. Finally you arrive at Delamere Station, a classic rural station built in local sandstone.
