This is an easy walk to the bat cave of Belda above Cuevas San Marcos. This cave is home to the largest bat colony in Andalucia and has three underground lakes. The cave has fencing around its entrance but is still accessible by following the well-worn path through the fence and ascending the steel stairway at your own risk. The walk down through the pine trees is a little disorientating due to the landscape; the feeling of being slightly tipsy comes over the walker when travelling the path. The views over the lake of Iznajar and the surrounding countryside are astounding.
