The Howardian Hills Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty is nestled between the North Yorks Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Wolds and the Vale of York. This walk lies on the western side of the AONB and starts from the same point as Walk No.5029. The only village we pass through is Scackleton. The City of Troy turf maze is sited at the side of the lane north west of Dalby and gives added interest to the walk. This is believed to be one of only eight surviving in England today. Watch out for the large willow figure of a bull at Waymark 08, Potter Hill Farm, pictured here.
There is little else to say except this is a walk in unspoilt countryside on quiet paths, tracks, lanes and in woodland.
