This walk without stiles but with few marker-signs is a rural one not far from East Dereham. The route is across fields and along tracks and country lanes. The paths are in good order. The Lord Nelson pub at Clint Green has several real ales to offer the weary traveller, but does not sell food.

The forecast for rain and cold were thankfully wrong, it was sunny and out of the wind most agreeable. A straight forward walk but very enjoyable. A couple of points to note. The Lord Nelson Inn (Note 3) is now a private residence. And the Post Office (Note 4) is no longer in business. Yaxham station is fantastic, well worth a few minutes of your time, the same goes for St. Peters Church. In fact the church is as plain and bare as any me and my friend Nick have explored for a long time. That said the peace and quiet the church grounds offered whilst we enjoyed lunch made us realise once again why we love walking.

We did this walk on 10/06/2023. Easy to follow. Took slight diversion for refreshments at Yaxham Water, Pie and Pickle - would recommend.
