Starting from the castle car park, cross the bridge and take the trail up to the watch tower. While up there, spend some time to admire the view. You may by chance meet the duke and his family out for a walk… As you retrace your steps you will pass a fascinating dovecot just before Carloonan Farm, then it's on to a fine stone bridge. Soon you will come to the duke's viewing platform; stop and admire the waterfall. A pleasant riverside path takes you round to the Maltings and across the A819, passing the Electric House on the way to a long section up to the lochan, down a fascinating little glen with a cute little waterfall and then a straight walk out to the castle car park.

Great walk. We loved it. The views from the watch tower are spectacular. You get an excellent view of the full extent of the walk laid out in front of you.

Waypoint descriptions for 2 and 3 need changing slightly as out of sequence. Suggested wording changes are below. 2. Go up the trail then cross the forest road and walk up the field to a five-barred gate. 3. Go through the gate and walk up a forest road, pass the old mill and limekiln. ignore all sideroads and continue straight on. This will soon change to a trail that will take you up to the watchtower at the summit. GPX file is missing some important detail. I have a GPX route from undertaking the walk that is complete.
