Dunham on Trent is a village in Nottinghamshire located on the A57 road and is mentioned in the Doomsday book. This walk starts from the car park located very close to the Dunham toll bridge. If approaching from the east the car park is a left hand turn approx. 50m from the bridge. The walk begins along the flood bank of the Trent and loops around local country lanes and hedgerow paths. Good views of Fledborough Viaduct can be seen as the walk departs the Trent. The walk also passes three churches, St Gregory's Fledborough, St Leonard's Ragnall and St Oswald's Dunham. The only opportunity for refreshments is in Dunham on Trent, The White Swan opens midday Fri/Sat/Sun and from 4pm rest of the week. Check the Internet for up to date opening times.
