The Civil Parish of Morden includes the tiny hamlet of East Morden, where the walk begins, taking in The Hardy and Wareham Forest Ways that include bridleways, footpaths and some quiet country road-walking. There are also sections through ancient tunnel-type footpaths called holloways, or just plain sunken paths; eerie, dark and in places, where you have to mind your head!

Good walk but please note suggested changes: Point 1: you could direct people diagonal across the playing fields to the left hand corner ahead where there is a gate onto the lane saving you walking a longer distance on road, on leaving the gate, carry on ahead to follow the lane and pick up on existing instructions. Point 9: after exiting the Church Yard you turn right not left to reach the road, you should add that you turn left to follow the road towards the pylons and a road junction where you find Point 10. Point 10: there are no stiles you have to climb over two farm gates, the first you can see as you approach as instructed, the second is almost dead ahead slightly up hill. After climbing the second gate you follow the path to the right. Point 13: the path you should take is to the left of the houses at the end of the cul-de-sac and the path you need is literally at the end of the garages. The remainder of this instruction is a little confusing. You enter a farm yard and are better going around to the right where you will see the roof of the Village Hall and an opening in the hedge back into the playing fields cutting out the need to walk on the lane.
