Enjoy an unhurried ramble through Edinburgh's exquisite Georgian New Town to celebrate its outstanding architecture, whilst also savouring some splendid views and a quiet interlude along the Water of Leith. The route includes the monuments on Calton Hill, a fine cathedral, the classical buildings which house the Museum of Modern Art, a few famous addresses, Robert Adams' Charlotte Square and some bustling streets with restaurants and cafes, bars and small independent shops. This gentle perambulation through part of 'The Athens of the North' will reveal it all; don't forget your camera.
