To reach the start point of this walk you drive up a poorly maintained cart-track off the road from Loja to Priego de Cordoba. This ascent in the car can be done with a normal car driven carefully. At the start point, high above Loja, you come immediately out to stunning views and follow the only track to a viewpoint just below the peak. From here you go across country 300 metres to the actual peak and trig point. The views are stunning and for such an easy walk, rewarding to a high degree. On a clear day the Sierras in all directions are a pure joy to see. From November through to May you will enjoy the Sierra Nevada's snow-covered peaks clearly laid out.
