El Hierro: El Mocanal to the Sea

This walk starts on the lower road in Mocanal that runs parallel with the main road through the village. It is only a short walk, mostly on donkey trails between abandoned terraces that are gradually reverting to nature. Above the beach at Pozo de las Calcosas there are some bars and restaurants that offer refreshment – needed for the climb back to Mocanal!
