Elan Visitor Centre - Cnwch Nature Trail - Caban Coch Dam - Elan Visitor Centre

The Elan Valley is Wales' own Lake District. The area was flooded to provide water for Birmingham's growing population, but the area now gives pleasure to thousands who come to enjoy the peace and the red kites. This walk starts from the Visitor Centre, where you will find a shop as well as toilets, refreshments and information. The walk is classed as moderate because of the height gain, however it is all on good paths and the height is gained gradually, with seats along the way. Most people could enjoy at least part of this nature trail.
