Emerson Park - Langtons Gardens - Harrow Lodge Park - Eastbrookend Country Park - The Chase-Bretons Playing Fields - Ingrebourne Valley Nature Reserve - Hornchurch Country Park - Upminster

This is a linear walk starting at Emerson Park station and terminating at Upminster station both being in the London Borough of Havering. The route follows a few roads, and passes through Langtons Gardens with its beautiful house which is used as a registry office and a wedding venue. After a few more roads you enter Harrow Lodge park with its leisure centre, play areas and a cafe with a boating lake. Then basically after exiting the park you pass through nature reserves, playing fields,a nd through Hornchurch country park with its visitor centre then you pass through Ingrebourne Valley, with the River Ingrebourne on the right before arriving in Upminster where you can browse the shops then make your way to the station.
There are plenty of places for refreshments along the route or if you have packed a lunch, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables to enjoy a sandwich or two.

All the paths were clear (August 2023) with just a few not being signposted (see additional information).
