From the lovely Northants village of Eydon this is a particularly wonderful little walk, easy and with gorgeous views. The route takes field-paths and bridleways in marvellous surrounding countryside. Eydon is a most attractive village of the local warm, sand-coloured stone and has historic appeal. Stocks made in the late 18th Century are located on The Green and were last used by a veteran of the Battle of Waterloo who regularly got drunk when he received his pension!
